Perennially seeking the answerless
for escape, can
knowledge grow into power,
education emancipate
the amber embedded dragonfly
held in an incredulous moment
sticky limbed, pathetic against
the avalanche of you.

All the knowledge in the world will not help you when you fall for someone you now will be wrong for you. We squint our eyes against the truth and enjoy the ride for as long as we can.

The last four lines contain a very vivid metaphor. A catch-my-breath moment there. I think this poem says all it needs to say, in quite a powerful way.

This was just great and powerfull through a brief stanza, very intellectual in it's meaning conveyed. The lines 'the amber embedded dragonfly
held in an incredulous moment' were just a brilliant description with a good use of a metaphor within. Well done!!

You can always say it so well in so few words. Perennially seeking the answerless for escape,is so well captured. Great poem.
