Only now in shameful admittance will I try to speak
For I was so persistent in unhinging my jaw
What were the words I was seeking?
Because I doubt I will ever find them now
Defining as they may be, these words
I once wished to hide them in the stone maze
Behind the gray walls so crocked and high
There not even their keeper could divulge
But I even sought them out, away in the crypt
Beyond the great stone archways on the black sea
Even I was foolhardy enough to delve inside
Past the great oak doors, the inner sanctum
Winding up and down wall-less stairs ways
Hanging over blackness completely void
Beyond empty beds where giants once slept
And down finally unto the dead beach head
Lined with ancient stone walls dotted with doorways
There the black tides roll ashore, red fire smolders
The empty temple’s doorway arches high to a point
Inside the statues of Ancients slumber quietly
Staring sadly into the still reflective pool
There upon the podium lay what I sought
Scribbled on hardened aged paper wrapped in leather
By some form of my own self long ago
Back when the torches in these halls were lit
When life still dwelled within this marble
Beds still felt warm from slumbering bodies
No more, this place was barren for so long
No trace of life but the green grip that it was buried in
But not this temple, not this beach
It lay untouched even by the ruthless jungles
Before I could reach those obscured words
The tide rolled in softly through the archways
Slipping easily through the wall along the coast
Upon which rood something that had came before
Weary my eyes; I stumbled from the temple’s door
Witnessed the red fire burning away the sky
Canopying then over my head, consuming
I buried my head into the black sand to escape
And I awoke, cast out of my own head again
By the forces I long ago had placed
To keep myself safe from those words
Or so I had convinced myself
What a fool I was
Please tell me what you think

I really enjoyed this one! It reminded me a lot of your dream and it was very cryptic.
