Rush

To think that light could take away from grace
Like that darkness that sweeps within the endless sways
Let this sweet embrace find its way
Within the deepest purest of your energy's rays

Just please don't leave me here to sleep
Alone without you is a sin of breaking...
The ocean waves upon my skin
The brightest stars we hold within
As I trace the galaxies upon your skin
The river that winds between desire and reason

So let me stay here within your arms
Where galaxies are found within our hearts
Our eyes both eager to see within
Our souls are burning brighter than they've ever been

And beneath this brilliant canopy of smeared inky sky
The canvas of the centuries, a map of ever knowing light
The goddess of night has blessed us now as she folds us
Within the sky, within the blankets of our love
Forever falling from sight...

For the blindest of love is often the kind
That you hold within your hands like the sands of time
The hourglass that slipped away
Within the throes of paths crossing ways

And to think that light could take away from grace
We have enough to lead our way
Through the labyrinths of time, decadence and space

To think that light could breathe within our truest of forms
Mind, body, spirit, the truth within the lore
Ourselves as one, instead of us
I believe in you, now close your eyes
And feel the rush.

I'm definitely feeling it; it's often been said that the artist puts a bit of herself in her art, but you have a definite talent for writing both eloquently and purposefully. Every one of your poems tells me a little bit more about you, not just the themes you wish to explore, and I feel enriched for the experience.
