Do I travel?
to penetrate solitude
in taking a train
to conclude our union.
Prefer to stay on earth
on night track silver,
or choose the sea
to sail for a blue lagoon.
Am on the station
to look forward the train,
heart burns like a cigar.
Do I wait till tomorrow ?
It will be a heap of ash
for a destination to love.
A one way ticket for a life to no return.

I love that you have link this poem with love and distance!
It leaves one pondering decisions to move on or stay...
this piece has wonderful imagery too..."on night track silver"...is my favorite line
Its powerfully evocative in its brevity..and I love the finality the ending...so very sad.. well done
thanks for entering and g'luck! -
Such melancholy in your words... Nice twist on the prompt equating the journey of love and distance. Interesting form... Well done.

This is sort of sad, in a compelling way. Being a wanderer myself, I can identify with it. Lots of emotion and feeling in this poem. I like the phrase heart burns like a cigar best.
