Scapegoat

World hunger, mass floods, world wars:
All these things that humans abhor
Needs someone--something to blame,
So we cast above a "Holy" Name
In hopes to heal these mortal sores.

Others pray for divine assistance
To battle off such grave resistance.
But the help they give is false illusion,
They think they've made a just inclusion
But from the world's problems they keep their distance.

Scapegoat is thy name of God,
Whose role is just a cheap facade.
Day and Night near thousands plea
For One to set all humans free,
But on our souls do giants trod.

Author notes

This doesn't represent how I feel, but when presented with a prompt that asks for opinion I am always inclined to do the opposite.
