In the shadowiness of the night,
it's pretty hard to sleep tight.
Shapes are forming on the walls,
And under the bed,
who knows what crawls?
Bobby, Freddie and even Anne,
know of the notorious Boogeyman.
His hideaway is under your bed,
and just the thought of him,
will fill you with dread.
So beware children of all ages,
Mothers, fathers of all stages.
Just be good little girls and boys,
and instead of scaring you,
he just might leave you some toys!
Author notes
This is for the option "something lurking in the dark"
and when you say something lurking in the dark, I first thought if a monster of some sort so I decided to write about the Boogeyman!

This poem made me giggle. Its very cute in a way... but the boogeyman is definitely on the monsters most wanted list. I will only ever look under my bed in the light. and keep my closet closed at all times. thanks for a great entry
good luck
