It's a stormy day
and I'm just comin' home

when I gave up on life
and left it to stay the way it was
Well when I picked up my hat
and said so long
there was a pile of hay
rotten on the front lawn
Today there's an old volks wagon
in that exact spot
can't you tell me where it came from?
All the trees are gone
the ranch is now a skyscraper
it's an industrial city
where it used to be a farm
People walk where the chickens roamed
planes are dominating the singing birds home
It's been a stormy day
since I came home
but this is what it is
