And visioning her perfect universe.
Pearly clouds cascading in the sapphire sky,
The scarlet sun embracing the cerulean sea on the horizon,
Ivory white moon illuminating the midnight scene,
Just a faded polaroid image in her mind.
Hoping to fit in like everyone else
To see the things everyone else can see
This imperfection she cannot mend or repair.
She wishes she can morph into another,
So they can see what she cannot.
Never being able to gaze into the amber stars,
Or watching the vibrant, colourful fireworks explode.
As she shuts her innocent eyelids tightly together,
She remembers her internal sufferings of
Blindness.

6. Sight Without Vision
This poem is about a blind woman. She wishes that she can see what everyone else can, but she knows that will never happen. Sometimes, we ourselves take the most important things for granted, such as sight. My best friends' father is blind, and I have to give him props because he is amazing! So I dedicate this piece to him, and honour him for being a tremendous inspiration to me.
Thank you so much Frank DiPierdomenico!

This was well deserving of the gold. A very beautiful write.

This is very good - I like the images and colours offered, and was busy seeing the scene, and the fireworks, until your final line stopped me short. How easily we take such a precious gift for granted, and how seldom do we look from another's perspective. Well done, and congratulations on earning the gold trophy.

How Touching
What a wonderful, soul provoking piece of poetry. It's so easy to take things like sight for granted and you have captured something so amazing here. I really enjoyed the use of different adjectives, in particular, the colors. Lovely! -
Wow ~

Such an in-depth write from deeper within.....you have a vision for sure, and with the help of people like you, those who are blind, can now see :)
