I never saw it coming
But I should have known.
I should have started running
A long time ago.

We almost had it all
And I thought we had Us.
But now I see I was wrong
So leave if you must.

I won't wait around
Just for you to hurt me.
I'm getting up off the ground
And forever setting you free.

I should stay and fight
But what for?
Instead I'll stand and smile
'Cause you can't hurt me anymore.

Eventually you'll realize your mistake
But I won't be waiting for you.
By then it'll be too late
And I'll be with someone new.

Right now you're too blind to see
That in the end you'll regret all of this.
But don't come back lookin' for me
'Cause all you'll find is nothingness.

    i like this poem. You write alot for Amanda. I am glad your finding poetry to be an outlet verses hurting yourself

      I write about her to help me get over her. it seems that the lst part in getting over someone is the hardest, because it's like cutting a final strand of a rope. Well, Iahve cut that final strand. Maybe now I can start building a rope with someone new...
