war is the only soldier standing

war is like a disease that never goes away
and can't be taken out by vaccines
nor by begging it to go
nor compromising
or running away
war is a predator no matter where you are it will hunt you down
till it finds you
well; i 'm sick of war
sick of the million men taken away from families and friends
and hands them back to us shaken, low-esteemed, physically and mentally maimed
war is like a adulteress
seeking to step in and take control
destroying a good life between a husband, wife, and families
when it wants you it will take you and not caring if the other spouse is hurt or devastated
war leaves everyone bitter and disillusioned and with a bad taste in their mouth
war is like a soldier
but an immortal one
can't be shot down
or poisoned
or beat up
at the end of days; war is the only soldier standing
