vertigo

reeling in pools
of her own sorrow
she cowers
in fear

fear of lying,
fear of being consumed
by her demons
as she tantalizes fate

reaching vertigo
trying to turn back
screaming,
breathing,
heart pounding.
she collapses

as the washing machines
keep going
round and round
... and round

i have just been looking in the poems in this contest and yours caught my eyes, i think this has a lot of raw power. though the mention of washing machines was too close to the picture, that said the rest of the poem stayed away from that and i liked it flip to what i think though i am not the judge
