Saccharine

Soothing sounds of calm expression
In a universe of silk and twine
Piercing hearts with soft confessions
Twisting up and through the spine

Dripping lies from sweetened lips
Scarcely trusting words to keep
Driven on by thoughtless whispers
In a voice not meant to speak

Short but SWEET. Lives up to it's title! I hope I read more of this short-sweet type of poems.

    Good luck in the contest!
