The Pathway

Dark
clouds hide
daytime’s end,
as life’s worries
trail behind each step,
winding up steep pathway
towards thoughts of waiting hearth,
crimson curls unwind tensions hold
upon soul’s travails, that search for hope
in warmth’s last glimmer beyond horizon.

Darkness’ moment in the twilight’s stillness,
one glance up for heart’s understanding,
starlight pierces blackened expanse
of heaven with spirit’s light,
as breath of Creator
ignites fire within,
ceases concern
as His love
inside
shines.

    Hello Azure85.

Very descriptive piece, with insight woven in skillfully as the journey proceeds. Tad abrahamic at times as well, am sure both the Holy Bible and Holy Quran mention god's breath as the source of one's soul.

I am not familiar with the form, so I can't comment on it, other than superficial; it looks a nice diamond shape, ahhaah.

    My regards.

What a beautiful double etheree. From the dark beginning you have made the transition to Light and Hope in the knowledge of the One who is able to provide both. Your faith shines in this poem. Well done!
