watching the light from the fire meet the shadow of the rain.
The collision gains my interest
as the fight calls to me.
I don't fully understand this feeling,
the tugging on my soul.
It draws me to it,
I'm a star caught between exploding and reviving.
Staring at the two opposing forces, I watch as they fight for power,
and I climb out of my emotional cage.
The chains fall from my body,
the shackles loose as the two struggle across my skin.
The loss of weight makes me feel rejuvinated,
a new man.
Forgetting all the old worries that used to hold me back,
I don't think twice of what others might say of my actions.
Instead, I crack my knuckles to brace myself
and I begin to fight in Shadow's and Light's neverending battle.
"But he who fights with Shadow and Light, he is lost-
For he who fights with Shadow and Light cannot leave the fighting
and will face oblivion.
So fight."
Author notes
This poem went through a few edits. I was inspired by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' Kiesha'ra series.
I actually have to say that the song in the poem, is taken from her, and I put little edits here or there on it. So for the song, all credit goes To Amelia. Other than that, I wrote this poem myself.
This the third and final part of the Risks Of Life poems of mine.

"Demon in My View" I think that's what its called...but it was realyl good. All the times that Ive read it I read it in one night...

She is a VERY good author, I will concur. I never read "Demon in my View", but each book in the Kiesha'ra series are one night reads as well. I have to say, the first was the best, the second was good, then it just continued to fall till the fifth, which is the most recent one. I enjoyed them though.
I know I havn't been on in a while, but a HUGE writers block disease was hanging around my room, and everytime I tried to write something, I caught it. I finally got my lazy ass to write the third part to this, and I'm glad I did. Hopefully this sparked my writing spirit.
Thank you for the comment.
I will always be gold, baby, always...hehe...I feel slap happy right now. LOOPY! Heheha. Woooh, time to go.
