Petals floating to the floor
(He loves me,)
Does he want me anymore?
(He loves me not.)
We've been dating for so long
(He loves me,)
I don't know what's going wrong
(He loves me not.)
I close my eyes and hold my breath
(He loves me,)
There's only one petal left
(He loves me not...)
Author notes
My boyfriend (now ex) and I were having some problems. We had been together for thirteen and a half months. We made it past our fourteenth month mark but not by much.

This is a wonderful poem on so many many levels. It reminds me of when i was younger. I can feel the emotion so deeply.
I loved the way you encorperated picking the petals of in your poem. It flowed woderfuly and make my hart sing. This is a beautiful poem that though sad brought a smile to my face. -
I can feel the emotion straight away in this poem, I like your creativity, as though you are picking the petals off. I have to admit, I've done this before as funny as it sounds.
Amazing write
keep up the good work!

this is a different type of write. I love how you made it as though you were telling a poem but you were picking petals off of a flower as well. it's a very good piece. we all have our ups and downs in relationships and sometimes you wonder "does he love me or not". excellent write. thank you for entering and good luck.
