    Very nice, reminds me of the cicadas and other creatures who lie dormant for so long, then emerge for their short time. A good nature haiku, thank you so much.

      This poem is actually about the end of a relationship. A mourning dove symbolizes the ability to mourn the past, but also to look forwards to the future.
