Superstar Child.

A dream of an innocent child,
What does she want to be?
Some want to be a vet or a nurse,
But she wants pure ecstasy.

I want to be a superstar child,
To shine brightest for all to see,
To reach for the stars some day,
Yeah, that's what I want to be.

I wrote this based on my dream I had as a child, a corny write comes a corny dream but hey, it's what I wanted as a child and it's priceless to dream!

    A really excellent poem that was a pleasure to read. Why settle for mediocrity, and dreams based solely on social status indeed, and why not reach for the spiritual stars. I suppose our whole educational system has conditioned us to think small, and not dream big. Best of luck in my contest, and thanks for entering.

    Lovely theme, I am sure many children dream like this, especially in today's world, it is so 'in their face.'
    They just see the glitter and glamour, not the downside.

    We all have dreamed like this as youngesters!'s It is those dreams that keep us going now years later. Beautiful poem my friend.
