Life is an unfinished poem

at times,
thoughts, are naked -
fragmented,
in their incompleteness,

and meaning,
become soul’s search -
adulterated,
in its innocence;

when moments,
ponder significance -
tinctured,
with future’s vision,

and existence,
the essence of knowing -
immortalised,
as an unfinished poem.

Congratulations on the bronze. To tell you the truth the list of unfinished work rivals the finished work in more ways than one. I just hope when I write that last line........ somebody will not have to buy a newspaper to read it.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long

there is also something such as "too much work and too little time"!! Perhaps we should try to remember living by that last line so that we do not have to write it ... Thanks for reading and commenting. Frans

This a a gentle and thoughtful poem, these verses are rich in feelings and imagery, life as a search, meaning the goal and test of existence, such wonderful depth here. Thank you for this fine entry into the contest and best of luck in the judging...PK
