"Say you're sorry," they ask
What for one would wonder?
Why should a person say sorry?
"I'm sorry?" the reply
Half hearted, cold
Boiling inside
"You're obviously not. Say it like you mean it"
the haughty voice scoffs back
A superior look crosses the face
"Okay...Sorry, I didn't mean to..."
How does one apologize if they don't mean it?
Fists clench at sides
"Didn't your parents teac-"
"Sorry, my fist slipped."
