This piece tugged hard at Spirit and while I was reading which I did several times~ after inhaling I instantly got the word: Defector
as if there are some who do not Believe in what they do or what the soldier is being told to do so I am being shown words: Suicide Bombers
yet with reference to Americans who fund organizatons based on their Beliefs~ against the government however in turn are hurting-jeopardizing the safety of troops
over in hostile territories...that is what I was seeing while reading Your verse..Strange as my words mean sound~ Now I'm NOT saying You believe this or are saying this but this is what I am seeing while reading~ what came into my Mind
I'm being shown how in other countries...those who attach devices to their bodies or place explosive materials in vehicles may believe sacrifice is a way to show their devotion which we here don't see nor support that kind of violent act-
I'm being shown how media- getting word: sabotaged the Vietnam War in a sense by downplaying the danger our troops were in...but glamourizing with negative connotation what our soldiers had to do and in some cases chose to do which made it appear that the men-women were barbaric in actions~ even to this day my dad won't discuss it Men and women came home to hostility which was not warranted
You are right- Mere words defy the tribute due when our men and women have to face hostile individuals
who have no qualms on killing-anyone in their path- especially innocent civilians

I feel this way every Memorial Day. The gratitude is far to great to express in words. I do try to thank each soldier I meet though.
