I know that they say there is no way it will work
I’m a dolphin he’s a cow
Our families have gone berserk
But every time I look into the big brown eyes
It makes me feel like I could fly
We swim and play in the water all day
He does that for me, and I know that it’s true
Because there are times that he looks plumb blue
His leather gets wrinkled
And looks water logged
After all people he’s a cow, not a frog
They say that love is blind
But I suppose it’s plain to see
That maybe this just wasn’t meant to be
But as we jump through the water
I dream I had feet
But I can’t live in his world and he in mine
We were destined to part
It just couldn’t last
But we will always have that summer
We spent in the sea
A cow and dolphin swimming happily
Star crossed lovers
That just weren’t meant to be

This is too cute! That is a wonderful story of two hearts who were meant to be but there was a physical barrier. I never looked at this picture that way. I hope that you go far in this contest. You did a fantastic job with this poem!

I didn't know cows could swim much less jump like a dolphin. -
