A Prayer For Our Troops

Dear Heavenly Father, help me I pray
To remember our military who are far away
Those who haven't had much food or rest
Give them a hug and do what is best

Forgive me when at times I complain
When I can't get out that stubborn stain
As I do the laundry and tumble it dry
Remind me of them, Lord help me to try

To be a better Christian and do thy will
Pray for the one who sits alone on a hill
Also for those who sail through the sea
To keep America so grand and so Free

Oh Lord, some of them haven't had a bath in days
Help me to be more thankful in so many ways
Our troops do not always have a clean outfit to wear
Air Force guys!,  please drop clean clothes from the air

Every once in a while I see a hair on my chin
Mention a shave to our troops and you'll get a grin
For some have a beard of a various size
Unable to shave is no big surprise

God bless each and every one of our Military
Who stand guard and bravely battle to keep us free
Serving their Country both day and night
Freedom is the cause worthy of the fight

America, America your Children answered the call
They serve so faithfully so our Flag will not fall
Stand Proud Americans, as they help those who are opresssed
As you are standing with some of the world's best.
