Defining love

love is a hard word to say
It is tossed around for show everyday
Do you really know what love is?
I do
someone who is always there for you
In the hard times of life
Someone who took responsibility to claim you as their wife
The person who has touched your soul
Became the most wonderful person you will ever know
The person many miles away who thinks of you everyday
They show you simple little things,
just to see the smile that it brings
they whisper in your ear the loving words you want to hear
the person who promises to love you everyday
guides you back after you went astray
the simple words “I love you”
speak so loudly when they’re true

    There are those that I love and think of each day that I cannot touch who have touched me. You have a wonderful grasp on what love is. This is tender and leaves me with a deep sigh. I wish you the best in this contest.

    i know the been through hard times, yet our love only grew stronger for it, we fought and won, not ran...and still we love
