It'll be great, just wait and see,
When we figure out what we want to be.
Get out of school, make college your life.
Switch staying at home to parties all night.
It'll be great, sure, don't you know?
When we finish up here and set up a home.
Get married, have kids, a cat with a bell!
We'll finally get out of exam stress hell.
It'll be great when the kids get a bit older,
Because right now they just seem to get bolder and bolder.
We'll be able to go on a family day out
Without having to fight, argue, shout or give out.
It'll be great (and all for the best!)
When the kids spread their wings and flock from the nest.
It'll give us a chance, just me and you,
To do all the things we've inteneded to do!
It'll be great, I'm telling you this,
When God blesses us with a few grandkids.
Watching them grow will give us something to do,
And an excuse to splurge out on a present or two!
We've done all the things we've intended to do.
There's no person I'd ratherhave done it with than with you.
Now I'm alone at the cemetery gates.
But looking back, ah, sure, wasn't it great?
