Beauty as the dawn
She is as beauty of the dawn,
and every bloom it falls upon,
When silken rays, at birth of day,
streak magenta through the gray,
to pierce the absent silence there,
with blush of hue so fine and fair.
An aura such as hers is sure,
though even at it’s most demure,
to still the breath, steal the will,
take the heart prisoner, until,
there is no other wish in me,
then to be hers eternally,
All this she does with no intent.
No spell is cast, she must repent.
But, sure it’s by her being her,
this potent potion she does stir,
She tasks not, neither does she scheme,
to make each hour seem as a dream,
No, I should never want for more,
What greater thing could be in store?
then to be witness to her sight,
this treasure of enraptured light,
an aura that she only gives,
for all the days that I might live.

The imagery in this poem was incredible. I loved this write, but you didn't really fit into the contest theme. It was to take something weird/or even ugly about a person, and make it seem beautiful with words.
