My Best Friend Is A Desk

Friends are there for you
in your time of need
They help you stand up,
it's guaranteed.

Friends come in all sorts
of shapes and sizes.
They may even wear,
subtle disguises.

Who is your best friend?
you ask, intrigued.
I say: I'll tell you later,
when I'm not fatigued.

Later comes too soon
and did you ever expect?
My best friend, my pal
is my faithful desk!

I wasn't too sure about the rhyming in the third stanza...but heck, this is a random contest afterall, who says it has to make any sense??? You've done well with the title you were given!

Thank you for entering this random contest. Sorry it's taken longer than I thought to judge.

I see that this in a contest about randomness. The third stanza was well-suited.

    "Who is your best friend?
    you ask, intrigued.
I say: I'll tell you later,
    when I'm not fatigued."

That seriously made me say out-loud: "What The Hell?!?!" Then I giggled. This is a very amusing piece.

      Thanks xD
Well I wanted a word that is kinda like "interested" but fits better into the poem, and I thought of intrigued xD.
And the only word that actually rhymes with intrigued was fatigued so I just had to fit it into the stanza somehow.
      Lol
