Tell me why every day
I sit patiently waiting
and know life is just unfair.
Tell me why they say
size never matters.
Tell me why she gets
in first - every time.
Tell me why she never
leaves me anything
anymore.

I would wonder what this write
is about. It does portray
unfairness and perhaps a bit
anger at "her" actions?
Nicely penned. -
A deep write. I love the questioning technique used within, it captured me, provoked thought and had me feeling your emotions. Great work, superbly composed!!
Congrats on the trophie, you purely deseved it.

Nice job.. Your fiend in Poetry...

Sounds to me like you have an older sister. Life isn't fair but people do get what they deserve eventually. Nice poem!

the why is simple yet is hard
for the why changes each day
to try and find these answers
would be like looking for one
single special grain of sand
in the beach of life

Did you ever hear the song "Tell me why the stars do shine?" My mother would sing this over and over as I always asked so many questions I finally drove her insane. Your poem is humorous, sad, poignant, and really a wonderful take on the prompt. You'll never get an answer to any of these questions, so you have learned patience.I'm giving everyone 1 applause, as all the poems are wonderful. Best wishes.
