I am sitting here gazing out at limnetic waters
waiting for the sun to set and it is taking its time.
The yellow corona warms my face like a thousand kisses
and I play in my head the many loves of my life.
Lying back I smile in sweet memories while in repose,
then drift into deep dreams as a cool wind breathes
slowly upon my brow. I open one eye to see the sun
slowly disappearing into the breaking waves
exploding as it descends with rays
of all the goodbyes that I never wanted to say.

a good piece of poetry, i like the reflection here, both the water and the mind with that, shimmering along the course - i do feel your author notes should be removed, let people look in their dictionaries, it might use up some calories.

oh. my. god!!! lumberjack superhero! this was absolutely amazingly beautiful. i loved it from start to finish and i'm a lil pissed that it only got bronzed. i should go break some fingers and slash some tires
i'm totally saving this one for myself to look back on. each line was filled w/great images and great wording!!

I used to do that in the bath tub... Now with only a shower in MY bathroom [downstairs] I am patiently awaiting more sunshine so I may ponder my past as sublimely as yourself, maybe a little closer to the water...[LIKE IN IT!!!] Beautiful poetry...
