One day a man went fishing,
A young man took him there;
Upon his boat called Wishing,
They were a happy pair.
"What is it that you wish for?"
The young man gave a smile;
Whilst gazing at the seashore,
He sat and thought awhile.
"You could work in the city
and play all week like me;
The girls are very pretty,
They'll sit upon your knee".
"With money you can buy things,
A big house and a car;
The trappings that this life brings,
Will make you who you are".
"I could do what you tell me,
For what you say is true;
But I'd no longer be free,
and I'd end up like you".
