Visions In A Soldiers Tears

The young man and woman trained to protect our land ,
his prays that he is not a killer unless pushed to take a stand.
The ones whos prayers are by the thousands each day ,
sent upon the air of foreign lands to help them find a way.

When soldiers from both sides fight for the leaders of the day,
those soldiers on the front line arent to blame for this display.
It's the leaders who teaches hate and in this land you see ,
they pay their children so young to hate you and me.

Visions in a soldiers tears ,

reflections of days of loss of those so dear.

Both sides see it and yet the leader with hate  plots and plans,

they sit back and watch the destruction of their people and land .

From the land of the free tears do fall,
for our young men were first taught to love as they were small.
Never lift a hand to their brothers and let the Lord lead the way,
and are a peaceful nation until 911 was so horendously displayed.

Why do they hate us so what have we done?
Where has all this hate come from?
Millions are sent to stop it and thousands fall,
tell me when will history stop repeating itself and let peace come to call.

Our world in reality is getting smaller every day ,
why should anyone want to own it in such a way.
How will we ever learn to share and get along,
as their is always someone who teaches such wrong.

Visions in a soldiers tears ,

reflections of days of loss of those so dear.

Both sides see it yet the leader of hate plots and plans,

they sit back and watch the desruction of their people and land .

Our men and women will forever protect the free ,
and could be friends with our neighbors indeed.
We are a nation of all races and living together as one ,
so why cant it be on earth beneath the moon and sun.

Those who rules your country if they rule with hate,
it is not our fault so why do us this way?
Look beyond the flames and the injured before you there ,
and know we want to stop it just as you and me are so aware.

For all our men and women fighting this very day,
and for those who lost their lives I kneel and pray.
Asking the Lord to help us all in days to come,
For to end this violence he is the only one.

We are the soldiers of peace we fight for freedom not for greed,

we look upon you not with hate yet defend ourselves indeed.

So how many will fall and I ask you why ?

When we could find peace and end this destruction tonight.

Visions in a soldiers tears,

reflections of days of loss of those so dear.

Both sides see it yet the leader of hate plots and plans,

they sit back and watch the destruction of their people and land .

Author notes

We teach our children in this country such trash today .We dont teach them respect or responsibility its so displayed .So if their are no adults for them to look up to where does that leave our children for they are self destructing right in front of me and you .

Sad and true, I agree with everything you said in this wonderful poem.

I think it's so sad that the whole world is so filled with hate, violence and war. And yes, our God will stop it someday, but it's so sad we can't realize it needs to change for ourselves. The children of the world do indeed learn from us, and sadly, they are learning from the hateful people of the world. The world does seem to blame the U.S. for everything, don't they? I am glad your poem remembers the wonderful
men and woman who risk their lives for the world of violence, God love and bless them all. thank you for entering and good luck in my contest. PL

It is nice to see your perspective on the situation. So many of the poems here deride our men and women in the armed services. Great job.

    Appropriate

This being Memorial Weekend, I find this write fitting. An honest, real view instead of what we normally see as "patriotism." I am not a war-basher by any means, I am former-Army myself. Thank you for your words.

Sounds of a familiar bell ringing...

And it's not the bell of "Freedom." Those awful war cries are being muffled by the blood gurgling in their split throats and the black cloud of hate suffocating us all. What a great portrayal of the monstrosity of evil devouring our wicked world. This poem holds an excellent message, and wonderful imagery is expressed here, with an outstanding job of speaking out against the evils of the world, including war and hate. I love how you brought your message around to include the present reality of teaching hatefulness to our younger generation - the innocent little children. Write on, shine on, Poetess!!! Peace, Cyn
