It took a lifetime to
figure out why I loved you.
And two months in rehab,
and some sound therapy
to forget why I tried.

Amazing
Great short poem, it was simply superb. Your words grab our attention so easily and communicate a lot.
Keep writing, I like this style. -
I am a fan of the short poem. You have it mastered here. So much encased in so little.
Mary.
(and yes, I have way too much time on my hands this evening.) -
It took me a lifetime to figure out this poem... and since I was dead it didn't really matter all that much anymore, but I wasn't about to go and forget about it. Admitting that I'd wasted my life on nothing is something I was only prepared to do as long as I still had time left to make up for it. But I guess that's just the benefit of being realistic, as opposed to being unrealistic which would have both negated and validated everything I've ever and never done. Nice poem, very thoughty in essence and mind-stabbingly chic in the least.

Ouch! Rehab is never a good sign! ack! No lecture, just that sometimes failed love is worth the pain encountered, to find true love... no?
-
you must of loved this person really deep, sorry it had to be that way.

It does take a lifetime to get over someone sometimes. And other times it just happens one day. I love this because I have been in rehab the past year and therapy. It has been a rough one, blah blah blah. Anyways, excellent write. I really enjoyed it!
