A poem, stirring in the firmament
swirls and waits in neon nests of galaxies,
swishing through the hems of ancients
getting caught on starry brambles
waiting, potent and pulsing
for me to reflect a lightning of awakening
so they can be breathed to life
and flare, like feast of beatitudes,
by a simple sack-clothed woman
believing in moments of inspiration
that she sparks and has flash
of phrases, sputter along a string
from her to that which makes her
bloom in language she knows
