How I laugh inside your melting.
Love is like a feathered raft
the wind has found
in playful dancing,
soul romancing summer soul
in wilder wish to know the secret.
Heaven glances
to roll in music,
circle playing every language.
Feel the forest
choosing partner,
one and one in two together,
season
seeking more than weather,
teaching love,
as simple sighing much to measure.
I have blessed myself
in winter's best,
his frosted crystal
tuning inspiration,
holding close to earthen woodland,
craving clearing
to keep me holy.

Craving clearing
your melting
ripples outward until
I'm left smiling inward
love taught in simple sighing
under brush of feathers flying
summer breezes lightly dancing
laughter warm in rich romancing
captive of such soft design
in wont to pine your
meadow's secret

I swear I have been studying this for ten minutes. I printed copy for "Trapped truth Society" a group of local poets who meet for pizza and readings on sunday afternoons. What range of emotions I've experienced.
Souls I think would be delighted with this...
And how do I feel about the information I would need to know what you mean here...
I won't make the mistake of thinking what I think you mean is the only way to think! Language is such a crude tool...
The feather; not a flight, but one downy from close to the heart for warmth
silhouetted in surface tension; hardly damp at all
summer souls splashing in wanting to discover everything...
Heaven, circle, music welcome all
Forest trees arm wrestle in slow motion
But what does craving clearing to keep me holy mean?

This is a beautiful poem of love. The simile in line 2 is descriptive and unique and sets the mood for this piece. The title and last line convey so much in four small words. Thank you for your entry. Peace, Liz

Nature... the best metaphor for human emotions (and conditions, I might add). And when winter melts and spring arrives, we feel the laughter of its green sounds inside us too. And such is life....putting us through the mill to become flour... to keep us holy (and humble). Wonderful poetry that touches upon so many aspects of life and love.

Ahhh, Scribe...when we come to visit your shimmering pages, it keeps us ALL holy. Elegant penning, my Friend. Good luck in the contest, Sweetie.
