I see my locket lying in the sand.
Across the expansive waves I search for you.
Love is something I cannot understand
and yet the feeling sticks to me like glue.
This silver necklace once between your breasts
as a symbol of the love that we share.
Now within the countless breaking wave crests
it seems that you left me without a care.
I pick up this symbol of you and I,
shiny anchor that seemed to weigh you down.
Gazing at the sunset I say goodbye
and force a smile from my furrowed frown.

A lovely, sad write but with a touch of hope at the end. A beautiful take on the picture, thank you for your entry.

Beautiful form and flow... a sadness to the words from love dashed on the shores... great imagery. Well done. Good luck...
