Quantum Cosmic Journey

What is matter? What is light?
Be one with the universe and take flight.

Fly with your photon wings.
Travel along the cosmic strings

Flow along the gravitational field.
At the speed of light, do not yield.

All energy and no mass.
Past the solar system's burning ball of gas.

Travel along the interstellar pathway.
In the Milky Way galaxy.

Shining like a bright star.
Glowing your luminosity from afar.

The thing with the process of recycling and rebirth.
Is we all end up being part of the universe.

yes we all end up being part of the universe, i think so. death of physical being and then recycle in the form of other. I like the idea of traveling at the speed of light. ... finding the way through ones own being by reading your poems

Thanks, Jeet. yeah, I thought of putting the speed of light in there. Nothing can travel faster than light anyway, so I thought it might go well with the poem. Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts. Your comments always bring a smile to my face, spirit friend.

Wow, you sure went back in time to read this one, William. I'm not used to people reading my older work, but I appreciate it very much.

Yeah, it would be really cool if people could travel really fast at the speed of light, eh? And, to witness how the universe came to evolve as it did in the beginning, would be an amazing sight. Thanks for stopping by and commenting, brother William.

Thanks. Yeah, it has been a blow to the innocence of my high school class. I think everyone is just feeling numb. One of my friends said it best in a status a few days ago, that it's just surreal. I mean, people always hear of tragedy happening in other places, but when it happens to my own group of friends, or even though I wasn't that close to her, even just the same high school, it can be quite hard. I appreciate the comment.

ahh this is sweet way to think of Kelly being reborn in the universe as a new star. That's cool. Always enjoy reading your science writes. Thanks for sharing and keep writing.

Thanks, Charley. Yeah, this is just my way of dealing with what has happened. All my friends have religion in their lives, but being from an atheist family I don't have that, so I'm just trying to deal with it in my own way. I appreciate the comment.

I second Amera's comment. You bring the science world to a whole new meaning with you poetry. Quite a feat, since I always did poorly in science - wish you had been my teacher Love, Lane

Thanks, Lane. A science teacher? Reminds me of what Tink (Elevens-Rae) said on here a few years ago when she was still on allpoetry, that I should be a science teacher. I'm not sure that would work too well, though. I tend to be a better artist. Math isn't my strong point and I would have to know math really well if I were to try to get a career in teaching physics. I appreciate the comment.

Oh my! I love this! You are the only poet I have ever read that can take a science textbook and turn it into an image filled poem. Great work!

Thanks, Amera. I think it's the way I look at science differently. I started reading quantum physics with asking questions of what is reincarnation if it is indeed a true phenomenon and hence my poetry kind of evolved from there. Also, it kind of helps to express myself through my poetry when dealing with the shock of losing a classmate. I appreciate the comment.
