Dear Mother
I never knew you but they say I'm so much like you
They say I will follow in your shoes
I try and try to prove them wrong
You are the last thing I want to become
You were the one who gave me up
You were the one who didn't love
You made no promises
There were no hugs no kisses
Lost and alone
I only wanted a home
Mother now I must say good bye
It didn't matter how much I tried
It didn't matter what I'd do
I ended up just like you

A very sad piece, and a different way to look at the same prompt. It is simple, heartfelt, and too the point.
Thanks for your entry!
