He dressed in his white linen suit
Still crumpled from the night before
Running through the orchard
Fragrant with spring
Foretelling the apples
Ran through the dawn
With his bride.

I like how you've wrapped the prompt around this happy couple.

Excellent
Short, but so powerful. Very well done. Best of luck in the contest.

Its great
When their is love blindness befalls all about you

Lovely simplicity here, although I suspect that this poem can be about lovers or can lean towards the spiritual too - and I like it when a poem takes me along different avenues.
"ran through the dawn with his bride" - what a lovely image that is! Nice work here - thank you for your entry.

How nice to run with the one you love, such a nice picture you paint here.

Well this paints a pretty romantic picture. I like it lots. HEY! No sarcasm. LOL I still belive in chivalry, altruism, and all that.
Good luck and write on, sis. One.

Deceptively simple, this, I love the images of the night before, the blossoms shown rather than told, linking to the bride - and the eagerness of running.
