She sits outside when it rains
With no umbrella.
Sometimes she's in a night gown.
Sometimes her business clothes.
She always comes in soaking wet,
But with the biggest grin I've ever seen.
She paints the walls obnoxious colors...
Yellow, lime green, and pink.
Sometimes they become spots and stripes.
Sometimes they never get finished.
At the end of the day she's dyed from head to toe,
But satisfied at a job well done.
She wears socks that never match,
But doesn't try to hide them with shoes.
Sometimes they're two different colors.
Sometimes one of them is mine.
It draws attention,
But she only giggles back.
She eats Mexican food with chop sticks,
And makes the dog eat what she drops.
Sometimes the food makes it to her mouth.
Sometimes it doesn't even come close.
When she's through she regrets not getting the floor tiled,
But never enough to change it.
She loves all animals, especially rodents.
Hamsters thrive in our home.
Sometimes they live forever.
Sometimes they die immediately.
She cries for days every time,
But I always buy her a new one.
My wife is a quirk.
She isn't perfect for anyone,
But she's perfect for me.
