The World Opens Before Me

The world opens before me
In my eyes and in my mind
I am the seeker of treasures
And the pleasure is all mine

Though alone I’m never lonely
For all the world lays before me
When I open the book that lays
Happily upon my knee

As I open the pages
So slowly will I proceed
Though eager with anticipation
Leisurely I love to read

Taking it at your own speed is certainly your own choice. It’s easy to see, you wont be rushed. Well written.

This is absolutely beautiful and I can so relate to your poem. Inside pages we enter another world, and become immersed in the characters, and are never alone or feel lonely. This is a wonderful entry. Rhyme scheme always throws me if it is not good. Yours was perfect. Best wishes! Thank you so much for entering my contest!

    Lovely poem

you have such a delicate way of writing, you really
use your innervoice to paint each line and verse.
Good for you, for that is the hardest part of writing
    poetry!
