Questioning Passion

There is a blank moment now
as desire is packed away
amid the wrinkled sheets
of more glorious moments.
The ceiling that once floated,
sits white, back in love with lamp shades.
Life has returned to a slower pace
as temperatures dampen to cool,
and legs return to their own bodies.

What was it all about
those moments of passion;
laughable in the cold light of day,
when desire is dormant,
asuaged by some manic ending?

But it will rebuild;
when the sap rises,
and with hungry eyes
we will devour once more
the pink skin of lovers

    Your Format is Interesting,

    to say the least. I have ound within your verses, an endeavor to speak candidly of love. To reach for a higher understanding of that one elusive abstract that binds us all.

    Passion is something that questions alot of people . Why is it wrong or right to love ?

    In my unexalted opinion, for I am only a mortal man, to love is never wrong. But upon that statement I must place a few caveats or conditions.

    In my understanding to love is to think of another more then yourself. To die to all that is within, knowing that you are made better in the exchange of emotion. For only then can you openly receive from another in this time honored exchange.

    This is a love exemplified in scripture, one patterened to us in Creation. To be able to love like this frees one's soul from the worry and doubt that plagues all that is our humanness.

    It is a higher form of self, a deeper understanding of the lifeforce surrounding us. In the 13th chapter of 1st Corinthians, we find a list of all the things love is. Love is not to merely to subscribe to such statements, but to practice them with every fiber of one's being each and every day.

    I hoped this answered your question without coming across as too preachy. I really did enjoy your format and your questioning of this aeemingly almost lost art, one I call unconditional love.

    Blessed Be,
