Divorce is not pretty!
Its more deceitfully a lie...
For many think pastures are greener
With another man or woman!
Well,
I disagree!
Iv'e been there!
Divorce is an easy way to escape
But its not the best way.
Though
However hurtful,
Divorcce can be a new beginning...
A new adventure...
All one has to do,
Is stop the tears
And move on.
For life is a roller coaster
And Divorce is one of the many bumps
Which can turn around.
And become a new fairy tale...
Of future Magical Dreams and Romance.
So,
Make your choice...
To be a survivor
or
To die of a broken unmended heart!

i didn't want to read this at first, on account of the title. I'm glad i did, though as it was a pleasant surprise!
A very light poem to read, it was nice how it was full of sadness at the beginning and then turned around half way through.

aww. i think it is extremelly difficult to go through a divorce. especially for kids. you should see the movie Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon.

I don't see it as the easy way out , it has been something I have been fighting for along time, but have come to realize I am really left with out much choice. I shall always love him and will try to always be friends.

Even though I am single (and enjoying it)it's too bad when a divorce has to happen. I can feel the vent as I read this. You also explained to the reader the choice to make in the end! Thanks David!

hmm, yes you are right. it is the easy way out.. but i don't think its right either way unless someone is horribly caught in it if you know what i mean. very inspirational poem!! well done, and good luck =]

Divorce certainly seems to be a quick fix for many today.. saves actually having to put any work in to resolves what the problems are...
Yet.. it also can be freeing for some that are represed in their marriage..
Like how you've shown both sides of the coin here!
