Sitting in the darkness alone,
Hovering by a silent phone.
Staring into the flames at night,
Fighting away the searing light.
Silence so blissful I keep,
Drifting in and out of sleep.
Thinking and dreaming always,
Of the one for whom I change my ways.
A single thought runs through my mind,
How lucky for me it was to find.
A person who can make me whole,
And fill the gap inside my soul.
Being together is forbidden,
Fate keeps her always hidden.
My mind's eye seeks her out,
My soul wants to scream and shout.
How I want just want nothing more,
Than the one who makes my heart soar.
She hides away and I am crushed,
I cannot bear losing her trust.
So I cast away this empty shell,
And continue my search in the depths of Hell...

This was actually something that I just thought of, and decided I wanted to write it down. It's about a girl for whom I care very much, but can never seem to be around enough, or at all sometimes, and it breaks my heart, because I know I love her and I know she loves me....
