Where Fireflies Dance.

As our fingers intertwined
And the scent of your skin
Lingered in my hair
I buried my face into your neck
While I whispered "I love you"
So faint that only the fireflies could hear it
I felt your heart skip
And heard you say "I'll never leave you"
Promises;Promises
[Always meant to be broken]

You're my prince in shining tin-foil
On the pony you bought last Christmas
And I'm your Princess in tattered clothing
Trying to dodge the pea in my cardboard mattress

Baby; we were meant to be
Under the stars
Where the fireflies dance
And the stars make wishes
(Instead of grant them)

Love;baby;dollface;
Tell me you love me

And mean it this time

I dont agree at all...with your authors notes I mean...this seems to be the product of a cure from writers block. This poem just spoke the truth of EVERY relationship that ever existed LOL.

    Nicely penned
