As we snuggled together in our own private bliss,
It seemed a strange question but you asked me this:
"What color is our love? Blue, purple, or red?"
I thought for a moment and eventually said-
Our love can be pink, when we're at our best,
When smiles are our language and hugs say the rest.
Our love is sometimes blue, if you forget to call,
If I say something regretful, if we're divided by a wall.
Our love can be green when our love is refreshed,
You become perfect again; our hearts are remeshed.
Our love is often yellow, when you softly hold me,
Listing the reasons you love me by whispering slowly.
Our love can be black, when we scream at each other,
When the last word to describe us would ever be "lovers."
But our love is usually red, romance mixed with affection,
We say "I love you" every moment, sweetness spreads like infection.
I finished, and asked if my answers were satisfying,
I looked at his face and there was no denying
The smile on his lips as he said, "Well, you know,
Love was always meant to be a rainbow."

This is such a beautiful piece.
Happiness within this poem.
I like it.
Its a happy love, not a sad one. -
Very powerful. The meter was great, though there were a few rough spots when just reading, though they worked out when read aloud. I would have thought you were going to mention purple as what "our love" could be, seeing as you mentioned that as one of the colors in the first stanza, but that is no biggie, just a personal thing of mine :-). I love your powerful ending, it practically took my breath away.
