A Warning to Naughty Children

Jimmy was a naughty lad,
Very, very, very bad.
Jimmy took his sister, Mary
To an ancient cemetery.

Took her at the dead of night,
Hoping to give her a fright
Locked her in Lord Ghostly's tomb,
In the dank and dreadful gloom.

Midnight struck. The late Lord Ghostly
Filtered through the wall (well, mostly)
For the Lord, a long time dead,
Appeared to Mary, minus head.

Mary wasn't scared of him,
Led the Lord to brother Jim,
Floating through the tomb's stone wall
Didn't bother her at all.

But when Jimmy saw the pair,
Glowing palely, standing there,
He got such an awful shock
Both his knees began to knock:

Then, alas for naughty Jim,
Ghostly threw his head at him,
Through the air the skull came crashing
Dripping slime, with molars gnashing.

And as Jimmy wailed and cried,
Came a voice from deep inside:
"Never scare thy sister more!"
Frightened, Jimmy wet the floor.

This is how the story ends,
Ghost and Mary now are friends
They have sociable times
When the hour of midnight chimes.

But, since Jimmy's awful fright,
He won't venture out at night:
The moral of my tale is this - er
Don't torment your little sister!

This is cute. Having been a little sister, I agree with the moral. I wish I had Mary's skill.
