- Spirit One on One - (Ten Questions to Ponder) [Graphic Images of Reality]

1.   How would You describe what YOU see

as Blessings in Your world... to a blind person?

2.   What would You do-say if this homeless child
      approached You on the street?

3.   Can You tell me what You would say
to a Preacher Man of color if given a chance~

before his flesh was to be burned alive
in front of his church *after* he watched his family
      burned alive before him...
      (
as others circle and watch with smiles, some cheering.)

4.   When You breathe in-out... describe how it feels to someone
who has difficulty doing so, they are on an artificial respirator.

5.   Imagine in Your hands, a baby bloated from hunger~

what would You say to his-her mother

who begs You for help?

6.   If the KKK asked You to inflict bodily harm unto a person

of color- do what they feel is *God's Work*-

what would be Your reasons as to why or why not?

7.   What is Your definition of Sacrifice when associated to
      the Creatures of this Earth?

8.   When You look into the eyes of this baby seal pup-
about to be clubbed by Man~

      Please describe what You see?

9.   Please describe how You would 'Live', if You knew

I would die tomorrow.

10. If an abused child asked You to sing him or her a song
      to soothe the Soul

what would that song be and why?

Thank You for Your time Fellow Poet~

    Dearest Desire,

Your Questions, tear at the very fabric of my being. While I could endeavor to answer each, the emotional response of my spirit would be draining to say the least. I beg of you to accept an answer in unity to all of the above. For I have learned to guard the health and strength of my spirit, daily.

All of your questions speak of life, life of another. Rather they be orphans or animals, life surrounds us. Even in death, one's spirit can linger nearby to take in the scene of their relevancy.

To live that life, in such a way as to be totally open and vulnerable to the needs of another, is maturity. To feel the prompting the Great Spirit to make a difference. To be wise enough to look beyond, one's own selfish need and to minister in strength and meekness to others.

To give without expecting or needing in return is to be a blessing. To do so daily, is to have crucified your own self for the greater good of humanity.

These thoughts run through my being, reminding me that even in my understanding and growth, I have far to go. Yet I travel with One who will carry me through to the end. One who will strengthen me when I am weak, who will supply as I have need. So that I may serve Him, as He would see fit for me to do. For that and that alone was the reason of my creation.

I pray this has some semblance of an answer within it. Know that you have touched me, challengening me in the process. May you always dwell in the blessed light, with a lightness of spirit that comes from unity with Spirit.

    Blessed be,
    Silent Hawk

This is the first time that I have seen someone put something on here that truly causes others to think. THANK YOU. If these questions had been asked over time, then perhaps we would not have the chaos that we have now. Perhaps we might have but possibly we would be more responsible and open minded by not allowing fear of what others might think of us to blind us to the needs, wants and pains of others in more desperate straights than we.

As for the homeless child, He would be taken in by me and raised the same as mine. He might not have the same color skin but his blood is as red as mine and the need for love is the same whether it comes from the mother of birth or the mother of heart. He needs the hugs, warmth, food and shelter that all children need. Education is an empty shell when not fed by these other items. We can speak words of love but not show them in the care of the outer shell. But when the love is combined with the showing of the depth of caring then, and only then, is love truly shown.

This is the same for all the other pictures as well, including the seal. The majestic beauty is lost on those that lack the willingness to honor the spirit of the animal that they kill. When we forget and take for granted the simple beings that feed, cloth and help to house us, then we have truly lost our own spirit worth. We have forgotten that the creatures and plants of this planet sustain us by food, cloth, and ways to allow us to stay warm in the frigid colds of winter by giving up their own lives for us.

When we start to see the simplistic beauty of the world around us, instead of looking at the green ink (given to us by plants and such)of money, then perhaps we will once more find our spirit worth.

All of your questions are very strong, and so sad. I don't really know what I would say to any of these questions. It is so horrific what other human beings can, and have done to other human beings.

    Great questions!

    Good luck in this contest!
