Liberation

Moist lids, unglued -
prayers released from
heart. Trails depart;
encumbered by the nonsense
that is emptiness.

Hence, truth quivers -
unzips itself of fear;
the massiveness  of a world
beyond this world,
enlightens with blinding
awareness.

Running into the wild
a spirit scathed,
winds billow to a new race.
Joy streams through each gasp,
as sweat immerses with,
liberation.

Breath finds its way
re-mingles instead
to the life giving source;
coursed to a freedom that
activates with courage.

Author notes

I am liberated, as the universe liberates itself to me.

    Lyrical and filled with substance both visual
    and meaningful. I liked the liberal use of
    moisture here: streams, sweat, breath, immerse...
    acting as a common thread for the sense of feel.
    Then, that is intertwined with a sensitive flow
    of deeper thought. Well deserving of gold. Blue

    This is very strong and rich in its texture. I loved your phrasing and how each stanza was nearly able to stand on its own. All combined it's a very powerful piece. I look forward to reading more of your work.

    Good

    This poetic trip though your imagination is, thought provoking, descriptive, and creative all rolled up into a beautiful poem. Your poem express great emotion and carries a consistent theme through out the poem with little wording and that is hard to do. You have painted a picture with words that tantalize, teas and catapult the reader into a fantasy as we experience your passion.

    • Thank you so much Emile! Love that you truly picked up the essence of me through this write.

      Again thank you for your comment.
  • Amazing LL. Thank you so much for your wonderfully unique writing. It is so hopeful and elegant. This is what I had hoped to see here. Thank you so much for joining my contest.

    Much Love
    Carrie
