Ice Barriers

Missing image
Stern ramparts blockade,
defending innocence,
that bloom without fear
of unknown bigotry.

Multi hued songs
sing in sweet strains,
where harmony has remained
untouched over eons.

Unknown within this tranquility,
ice castles slowly melt,
as mankind challenges nature,
destroying this veil of balance.

Soul of the earth
shall ripen in defiance,
but the price is exposed
in heartbreaks
bitter denial.
