Let's look at the world
In a way no one dares
Let's explore our thoughts
In the ways no one wants to share.
We all have our doubts
And we all have flaws
And yet we all look at each other
as if we even know the cause.
But the truth really is
We are all just the same
The truth of the matter would be
That none of our minds are tame.
Sometimes you have to let yourself go
And sometimes you just have to say what you feel.
Sometimes you have to stand up
And ask yourself what is real.
Why can't we just be ourselves
And be completely thrilled
Why do we look at each other
And instantly feel chilled?
It's like we haven't matured at all
Whatever happened to our young days
We all accepted one another
I suppose it was just a phase.
It's not like we can help growing up
But why don't we get wise?
Why do we see one another
And do nothing but despise?
It makes no sense
To a girl like me
I look at the world
And know this isn't how it should be.
