the numbing loss
of a heart in disbelief,
as it plunges through gravity
of stunned existence -
still sinking,
reality hits -
somewhere between
a silent echo’s scream
and the lies I’m hearing.

Nicely penned poem. Betrayal can be very stunning to the one who is betrayed. You have captured it wll.

Wonderfully dark and beautifully penned... Such an emotive piece that flows smoothly over the harsh reality of your words. Best of luck.
