plunging heart

Missing image
the numbing loss
of a heart in disbelief,
as it plunges through gravity
of stunned existence -

still sinking,
reality hits -

somewhere between
a silent echo’s scream
and the lies I’m hearing.

I really enjoyed this piece, short and tragically sweet. It's beautiful in its sadness. Thank you for entering and best of luck in the contest

Wonderfully dark and beautifully penned... Such an emotive piece that flows smoothly over the harsh reality of your words. Best of luck.
